It was merely a matter of expediency that the music should be closed at these hours. They also remarked that there was no doubt that the publicans suffered greatly from parties frequenting sly grog shops, or those that held a bottle license, when, being put out of those places, they had recourse to the nearest hotel, and of ten got the publican into trouble.
