The demand at the moment scarcely exceeds trade requirements, and from the meagre transactions occurring nothing d interest can be gleaned. At tho Universal Bond today, Messrs M 'Landreas, Hepburn, and Co. offered the damaged portion of tho cargo of sugar ex Dunloe—about 1800 bags—placing tho whole at extreme rates, tbo prices realized being almost on a par with those obtained a few days since for sound parcels. In the produce market there is no more values, and demand remaining as noted early in the week. _________ Mr John Bhook, Manse street, reports :— A well-sustained demand for wheat, barley, and oata has been experienced. Potatoes are also in demand, in consequence of unfavourable advices from Australia, and the difficulty that exists in obtaining freights for other ports. The prices current are : Flour, LI2 10s to LI3 per ton; oatmeal, LIS 10a to Ll6 do; pearl barley, L26 do; wheat, Ah 9d to 5a per bushel; oats, 2a 9J do; barley, 5s 3d do ; potatoes, L3 2a 6d per ton ; carroto, L3 do ; turnips, L2 to L4 do ; bran, L4 do ; pollard, L4 Ute do ; hay, trussed, L5 do ; do, loose, L4 10« do ; chaff, L4 10a do ; rye grass seed, 5» per bushel; butter, Is 2d per lb ; cheese, 8d do ; bacon, 9d do. ; bags, lsa per doz.
