(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.)

(from our own correspondent.) Wellington, Wednesday. The Manawatu Land Meeting terminated on Saturday. Dr Featherston, without escort, safely returned to Purawenui on Friday with the money. Two hundred mounted Natives welcomed him with enormous enthusiasm a a few miles from thence. - On Saturday the money was apportioned to the Representative Chiefs, who for themselves and tribes ignored their own feuds, and interchanged vows of lasting friendship. War and other dances followed, and a great feast closed the evening. A few principal chiefs are to meet Dr Featherston to-morrow, to receive the back rents owed by squatters, &c.
