ELECTION FOR BRUCE DISTRICT.
We have been favored with further returns of the voting oa Wednesday; and the following are all that were known by Mr Dewe, the returning officer, up to last evening:— J. Ma^nndrew. J. Carcrill. Tokomniriro 73 ... 14 Dunedin 26 ... 9 Waihola 43 .. 3 Taieri 26 ... 6 ~168 ... 32 Our Tokoraairiro correspondent sends us returns from the above places, miking the numbers —Macandrew, 177; Oargill, 31. We believe the figures before given are the ! correct ones. The returns from Inch Clutha, Warep a, Lawrence, and Pomahaka, have yet to come; but Mr Macandrew'a election may be regarded a3 certain. The official declaration of the poll is to be made at the Court House, Tokomairiro, at one o'clock on Monday next; the time having been extended from Saturday (as originally announced), to avoid any risk of the non-receipt of the other returns. _____________
