MAILS CLOSE For Callao, per ship Beautiful Star, this day, at 10.30 a.m. For tha Northern Provincns of New Zealand, per s.s. Pheebe, this day, at 1.30 p in. For money orders, registered letters, and newspapers, at 12 30 p.m. Per s.s. Aldinga, on Saturday, 17th instant, as under :— For Ceylon, India, Penang, Siagapcre, Batavia, Manilla, China, Aden, Mauritius, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, Alexandria, the continent of Europe via Trieste, and America, at 8 p.m. For Western Austra'ia. Soufch Australia, Now South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, and Victoria, France and the continent of Europe via France, Great Britain via Southampton and Marseilles, and Southland, at 9 p.m. For newspapers and registered letters, at 7 pm. Money orders, for transmission by the above mails, may be procured til! 7 p.m. Late letters for Great Britain and Australia may be posted till 9.10 p.m, and will afterwards be received by the mail agent in the cabin of the hnrbor steamer up to the time of her departure Such letters to bsax a late fee of Is.
