Ustkg Obscene Lasguaob — I'anny Parker and Margaret Wilson were prosecuted oa the information of the police for having used obscene language in Staffo- 4 street. The former prisoner only appeared; but both were fined 30s each, or sentenced to be imprisoned in gaol for four days Another ."unimon; ease involving a citarge ot using threatening language, .Thompson v. Keating, a warrant was directed to issue, the summons being disregarded. Hocking v. Bruce, an assault case, lapsed for want of prosecution. Desertion op Family—Robert Sutton was charged on the information of Mary £ nn Sutton, his wife, wish nol supporting his children. »otn prosecutrix and prisoner have lately made frequent appearance* before the Sench on various disgraceful charges, and the former would seem to he a woman of most infamous character. An order was made oa Sutton, who is a painter, for the payment of 15s a week. Street Offences.—John Currie, for ahowmg bis horse to stray, was fined 20s aad costs; and Kobert ilaial, for careless driving, was finsd 10s and costs. •.. Foul Ghiukies —George Bond, John mil, David Wilson, awt JolraM'Cubbin, were charged with neglect of the chimnies of their respective houses. The fitvst-naaied <!efsiidant was fined 10s and the rest 5s each and costs. Nuisances -■ The following individuals, for allowing an accumulation of filth on their respective premises, were fined in the penalties annexed to their names:- John Yates, 10s; Tho3. Dallas 10s; Roger Jon>s, ss; George Dedins, ss; J. W. Fegei% 10s; W. D. Sutherland, 10j ; Alfred Walker, 103 ; Parker and Garsides, 10s; J. o*. Mackay. 20s; J. Morrison, ss; Lewis Coleman, ss; Mesda>ces Wilson and Uaywarn, 10s; W H. Mumford s<; «m. Hall, 10s; J. D. Walker, 5s ; John Hefljrnan, 10s; and Mills, Dick, and Co., 20s. The cases against H. Emerson, W. G. Henningh "=ni, and J. Richardson were oisinissed. Benjiinia Smith, for removing the surface of the fwospath in Moray place without leave obtained, was fiied 5s and costs.
