Ten Guineas will be given for the best design if deemed worthy of adoption, and it will be the property of the Commissioners. Rejected drawings will be returned to their owners. Regimental Orders, Orderly Room, May 16th, 1864. finflE Competition for the New Zealand GoJL vernment Prizes, will be commenced by No. 1 Company (weather permitting) at 10 o'cloc.c a.m. on Saturday next, the 21st inst., at the new Rifle Range, on Mr Win. Ban's grounds, in the Kaikorai Valley, and will be carried on during the ensuing week, hy companies, in the following succession :—No.' 2, Artillery, and Naval Brigade. Attention is particularly called to the following paragraphs of Bulis Nos. 2 and 5 of the Prize Negulations, viz:—"Eachcompetitor to fire his whole number of rounds on. the same day," " should any Competitor absent himself when his turn comes to fire he is to forfeit.his chance." There will be preliminary practice during the present week —to-morrow and on Thursday, between 2 and. 5 o'clock p.m., and on Wednesday and Friday mornings between 7 and 9 o'clock.
