NEW ZEALAND INTER-PROVINCIAL MAIL STEAM SERVICES. mENDBRS are invited for the following JL Steam Services on the Coast of New Zealand, for the conveyance of her Majesty's Mails forone year, terminable thereafter by three months 1 notice— 1. A steamer leaving Otago on the first . Monday in May, and proceeding thence to Manakau via Lyttelton, Wellington, I icton, Nelson, and Taranaki; leaving Manakau on the third MonHay in May back to Otago by the same route, and so on, making the voyage every four weeks. 2. A steamer leaving Otago on the second Mcnday in May, and proceeding as above. 8. Do do on the third Monday in May. 4. Do do on the fourth Monday in May. 6. A steamer leaving the Bluff on the first Tuesday in May, and proceeding thence to Auckland via Otago, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Napier > leaving Auckland on the third Thursday of May, back to the Bluff by the same ; foute, and so on, making the voyage every four weeks. ' 6. A steamer leaving the Bluff on the second Tuesday in May, and proceeding as above. / 1. Dodo, leaving on the third Tuesday in May. 8. Do do, leaving on the fourth Tuesday in May. Tenders will be received for the above services separately, or for two or more, or the whole, but tenderers must specify the boat to be employed on each service. The precise date of commencing the respective services may be a matter of arrangement,-pro-vided it harmonises with the above system. Sufficient mail accommodation to be provided to the satisfaction of the Postmaster-General, and a free passage for a post office clerk in charge of the English mail, if required. The Postmaster-General to fix the dates of arrival and. departure at each pert, and to have the power of detaining any vessel for 24 hours without charge ; the rate of charge for further detention to be stated in the tenders.
