C^aUTIoJN.— Whereas on the twenty-first, day J of March. 1863, Mr George Duncan Lockhart, of Christenurch, in the Province of Canterbury, contracted to sell and deliver to us the undersigned John Dougla., and Francis Alderson, trading as Douglas, a lderson ami Co., all bis interest in a certain tract of Crown Land, situate in the Province of Canterbury, and called or known as the Hekateramia Station, aud comprising the fruns numbered respectively as follows, namely :—334,198,158,197, 197 No. 1 and 197 No. 2; t- gether with :'ertain"Freehold Land, and also, certain Sheep, Cattle, and Horses then being depastured on the said Station for the price of forty-four thousand pounds, part or which sum, that is to say the sura of 'ten Thousand Pounds, was paid by us to the said George Duncan Lockhart, on the said day of sale, in pursuance of the said contract. And whereas in consequence of the refusal of the said George Duncan Lockhart to deliver to ua the said flek-.teramia Station and Stock, we have commenced and are now prosecuting a Suit in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, to compel the specific performance of his said contract, to wit. the delivery of the said Station, Freehold, and Stork, together with special damages for the said breach of contract. Now these presents are to give notice to and to caution the Public not to teat with the said George Duncan Lockhart, or any other person whatever for the purchase or transfer of the said Station, Freehold, and Stock, or any p .rt thereof respectively; the said Station, Freehold, and Stock belonging rightfully and equitably to us by virtue of the said contract.
