(To the Editor'of the Daily Times.) Si?.,—ln your paper this .• morning appears a report—from the Resident .Magistrate's Court-that Jane Oak was taken from my house for using obscene language, &c, &c.
I beg leave to correct that statement, as it may be a seiious injury to me in my business. Jane Oak was not in my-house .that-night, but was taken from her own door, at the back of my premises'. The police officer who apprehended her, .hiving made the mistake, caused the-magistrate to make somi severe remarks, whioJi, had the police officer given a correct statement/might not have been. made.
