The amendment was moved liy Captain Baldwin. < :t : on the motion of the Provincial Secretary a Select Committee was appointed to retort upon the subject of The Educational Reserves. After. some .further .business. The House went into Committee for the further consideration of the Land Regulations. Mr Brodie moved an adjournment till this day, the subjfet to take precedence.: The adjournment was refused on division, by seventeen votes to fourteen. Various motions and amendments made were discussed for some hours, and ultimately progress was ordered to be repoited without any decision upon either of the points raised having beeu arrived at. [ The House havingresumed, the remaining business [on the paper was postponed, and the House adI journed till to-day.
