THE NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL
AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION OF OTAGO. .;.',.... '
We noticed the other day the proposal for the establishment of an association with the above title. We now append a report of a Public Meeting, held at Oamaru, on the 4th ultimo. Alexander M'Master, Esq., in the chair. It was proposed by William Fen wick, Esq. seconded by James Hassell, Esq., and carried— " That it is desirable that an Agricultural and Pastoral Association be established in the Northern part of the Province ot Otago, to be called The Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Asso-' ciation of Otago." Proposed by James Gardiner, Esq., seconded by • James Hassell, Esq., and carried— " That the Exhibitors at the Shows of this Association for Stock and Produce may comprise residents in the whole of Otago and Canterbury." Proposed by Pairfax Fenwick, Esq., seconded . by W. H. Teschemaker, Esq., and carried— " That the following gentlemen ba appointed a Committee to frame and issue circulars to persons likely to be interested in this matter, and to report the result to a general meeting to be called by them at some future day, viz, Messrs M'Maßter, Hassell, Allan, Millar, PiileuJ, and the Mover,"
