ELECTORAL DISTRICT OP THE PROVINCE OF OTAGO. llf pursuance of the provisions of an Act-of the (icnpral Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, The Regulation ot Ejections Act, 1858, and also of an 'Acl of the aforesaid General Assembly, intituled The Provincial Elections Act, 1858, I, John Gillies, Principal Returning Officer for the Electoral District of tlie Province of Otngo, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the Seventh day of February, 1563, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the Return of a qualified person to serve as Superintendent of the said Province of Otago; and tliat the Nomination of Candidates will, take place at the Court-house, at Dunedin, on Saturday, the 14th day of March, 18G3, at 12 o'clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the 9th day of April, 1863. Whereas the above-named Francis Gardiner, alia* Clarke, and John, alias Johnny Gilbert, are charged with the commission of numerous and serious offences, and have hitherto eluded the efforts to apprehend them, principally,by,,their being harbored, assisted,' and concealed by parties resident in the Districts they frequent: It is therefore notified, that the GoTernmpnt will pay a REWARD of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS, for such information as will lead to the APPREHENSION of cither of them : And should such ■ 'information, be given by any person •barged with the commission of any offenca, his case will receive the favorable consideration of the Crown.
