SIR,— "We, the undersigned Electors, respectfully request that you will allow yourself to be again put in nomination for the office ot Superintendent, so honorably and worthily filled by your Honor during the past two years. We should view, with deep regret, your retirement from office at this particular juncture. The confidence which your name and character inspire,; is especially valuable to a Government in the present state of transition through -which the Province is passing. We would seek to impress on your Honor's mind, that among other important objects, the' Land Question is still unsettled, and that your great.efforts to place it on a satisfactory bnsis may be frustrated if you withdraw at a time so critical as the present.
