Inkerman is a rich dark chesnut by Kmperor, imported—dam, Suffolk punch mare, Lady Airley, imported. He was bred by Mr Stockwell, of Hollytree, Tasmania, and sold whe'i n two-year-old to MiHipper, of Victoria, for £ 100. He is of the mq.'t symmetrical proportions, and has always proved himself a sure foal getter. His produce nt'the late September Show took the first prize at Gisborne. In addition to being a good stud horse he is perfectly docile and staunch lor* plough or dniy work.
