DJIILT TIMES OPEICK, February ICth. The influx of population Eince last mail has bern considerable, and the export of pold satisfactory. The exact amount for the month will bese-n on reference to the statistics publifhed-in another co:umn. The total amount of gold exported to present date is nearly 700,000 ounces.

The Chile leaves in a few days with a full cargo of wool, and probably 30,000 ounces of gold. The Aboukir and Star of Tasmania are loading:, and the Chariot of Fame, daily expected, wi'l also be laid on for London.

Bates of carriage to the.gold fields have not fluctuated much during the month. They have ruled at 145 to LSO per ton to Lake tVa'katip. L 25 to L3O to the Dunstan, and (.14 to Llsto Tuapeka- At thpse rates considerable quantities ot goods have been forwnrded to the gold fields, and stocks proportionately reduced in town.

The imports have not presented any features of an unusual cliarader, an ' been Tat'ier light than otherwise in quantity.
