An emigrant ship reported by the barque Victoria to be in company with that vessel off the coast yesterday, and to-day the Samson, on towing the Eliza Goddard to sea, having noticed a ship in the offing, steamed out a considerable distance to meet her, when she was found to be the Phdda," which has for some time been expected from Glasgow, with 368 passengers, and fully half of the number assisted female immigrants. The Pladda left Glasgow ou the llth' of September. During the first part of the voyage she had a favorable wind. Crossed the equator on the thirty-ninth day out. Lost the S.E. trades in 17 degrees S., and from that time had unfavorable winds and weather, chiefly from the soutiiwaard till as far as Tristan d'Acunna. While running down her easting, experienced a heavy gale onthe 25th of November, the wind prevailing ftom N.W., and the vessel being in latitude 48 ° S., and longitude 40 ° E. Otherwise the passage was a fine one, and the passengers all arrive in good health and spirits, and highly satisfied with their commander, Captain Boyd, to whom they have presented very flattering testimonials. Two births occurred during the passage, and there were no deaths. Except a French vessel on the home coast, no vessels were spoken by her throughout the whole passage. The passengers—including the single female immigrants, to the number of 194- will be conveyed to town on Saturday by the Samson. The barque Victoria arrived in the morning from Geelong, with a fine lot of eighty horses, belonging to to different consignees, without any loss during the passage. She left the Heads on Sunday week, and from Captam Milton we have Melbourne papers to the 12th, containing the summary of English intelligence already received by way of Hobart Town. The brig Yarrow, reported by the Glenshee as having sailed from Wellington and put back, arrived in the morning, bringins;B9 head of heavy cattle, iugood condition, and without loss. Inthe forenoon, the Lombard also arrived with a cargo of stock from the same place, her freight consisting of 02 head of working bullocks. She left on Wednesday, and made the run from Heads to Heads in 62 hours. From the Yarrow and Lombard we have Wellington papers to the 23rd inst. The Louisa, our last arrival from Newcastle, reports the Electra having sailed a day before her, also for this port with coal.
