NELSON COLLEGE. —The first Election ot Scholars will take place on Monday, the 29th ■'■■'■ September, in the present year. Three Scholarships will be offered for competition, one Founelation Scholarship of the annual value of £30, tenable for two years, to which all students at the College, wheresoever born or resident, who shall not have attained the age of eighteen at the above date, are admissible; the Alfred' Fell Scholarship, of the annual value of £20, tenable for two years, to which all boys under fifteen at the above date are admissible ; and one Foundation Scholarship o*" £10 for one year, to which students in the junior school only are admissible. The names of eandielates,- together with certificates of their age, must be sent in to tbe Principal at Any time not later than the 22nd of September. Candidates must attend in person at the College, on Wednesday, the 24th of September, at 930, a.m., to, be examined on that and the following days. . . „ Subjects ai? Candielates for the second Scholarship will be examined in Scripture History, Geography, Arithmetic. Writing English from Dictatiou, Latin Grammar^ Jacob's Latin Reader, Eutropius, and English History. Candidates for the third Scholarship will be examined in Scripture History, Geography, writiug English from Dictation, Latin Accidence, English History and Arithmetic.
