At the r quest of Mv Junor for me to send in an application for the situation of Staff Sereeant, I forwarded to mm Ihe recommendations I rt-eeived from t eomcersof the regiment I left ; also a it commendation which the Volume -rs gave to that gentleman tortJ;e purpose of fonv; rJin- to Auckland for the (rovernoj-'s auproval, to which I have had no satistactoro answer, nor my own recommendations returned to mo, after a period .f at least eighteen months.
