It was sufficiently clear, however, to admit of determining the position of the comet approximately at follows:—South declination Odeg. 20min Osoc, right ascension 15h. 58snin. 38sec. This ob^ serration was made about ten minutes to seven o'clock, when the light fleecy clouds that nearly covered the sky for a moment retired from the place of the comet Comparing this observation of declination with that made the previous night, the comet appears to have travelled south during that time about 4dt» fiOmin.
