The Ringdove, from Melbourne, reached the Port in the afternoon, and a number of her passengers, of whom there are in all 312, proceeded afterwards to town by the Samson. She has made a good run down, having left Port Philip on the 18th, and but for the squall of yesterday she would have been in sometime earlier. When twenty-five miles off Cape Sanders, the squall came on, and was very violent while it lasted, "carrying pway the ship's topsail, an-.i very nearly taking her spars with it. Some days ago sighted a brig, supposed to be the Mary Ann. since arrived at the Bluff. The majority ot the Ringdove's passengers had previously been in" Otago, but out of the number on board, about 60 shipped for Coromandei, which is described as attracting considerable attention in Melbourne.

The barque Derwent Hunter, from Hobart Town, arrived at mid-day, bring horses and Tasraanian produce. She had a* quick passage of not more than six days, before a succession of strong and favorable breezes. By favor of Captain Bayley, we have Hobart Town papers to the 20th instant. The Margaretha Itoesner came up from the Heads in the afternoon, some of her passengers baring previously left her, and betaken themselves to the new diggings. The sldp Escort, from London, previously reported, was towed up in the morning by the Samson, and lias since landed her passengers. The City of Hobart having received the mails, which were brought back from the Aldinga by the Guiding Star, sailed at 5 p.m. She leaves with only 8 passengers on board. She will call at the Bluff on her passage, and receive the gold and passengers on board the Aldinga, for whose repair Mr. Royse has proceeded by the City with men and appliances. * Three steamers again left to-day for Waikouaiti, carrying some hundreds of passengers bound for the Dunstau diggings.
