W. & G. TURNBULL fc CO.'S, OfPICBS—rHIOH STREET, Dunedin, July 26,1862. TO IMPORTERS"opTtOCIL TO BE LET, for such a term as may be agreed j upon, the well-known Burnham Water farm in the immediate neighborhood of Wellington, com- ' prising the whole of Watt's Peninsula, and some ad- '< joining land in Evans' Bay, containing in all about I 2300'acres, more or less, well grassed, forming one '• well bounded paddock, fenced by the sea on all but one side. This farm is admirably adapted as an entrepot for stock, intended for the Canterbury and Otago markets aa on it 400 or 500 head of cattle, or a proportionate number of sheep, can alwajs be kept ready for shipment, and double that number if necessary * and where they can recruit from the effects of their previous land journey. There are several bays on the property, well suited for embarking stock, having deep water close in shore. In the hands of an enterprising capitalist, this farm opens the prospect of being able to command the greater part, if not the whole, of the now extensive cattle and sheep trade between Wellington and the Southern ports of New Zealand. The Province of Nelson being now exhausted of cattle, and pleuropneumonia having btoppod supplied from Australia, Wellington appears to be the only port from whenc* a large supply can be obtained for the Oiaco market. The number of cattle in the Province of Wellington exceeds that in any other Province. The Burnham Water farm also offers peculiar facilities for the supply of the City of Wellington with fat stock, or dairy produce. , ; : Offers, for the rent of this fairo.iwiU be received up to the t 23rd August, or^ in case of delay in the mail, until after the arrival in Wellington of the s.s. Queen, with the August mail from the South, addressed to J. C. Crawford, Thornton, Wellington: or to Levin and Co., Wellington. > , ; ' Particulars aan J»e obtained from Messrs. "Rich_mpjnLflnjl_QjlKcß, Princea-strect Donedis.
