O AWING TIMBER ON CROWN LANDS.— O RESOLUTION OF THE WASTE LAND BOARD. "*lst March, 1862.—" Considering the very limited quantity of sawing timber, and the smallness of the bushes scnttercd over the province, it is not desirable to allow of the timber being quickly consumed. The exceptions are in the Tanttiku and West Coast Bushes, where the bushes are very extensive, Resolved, therefore, that the smaller rate oi licenses, viz., £5 per horse power be only applicable to the Tantuku and West Coast Bushes." A CCOMMODATION HOUSE FOE. POPO-i J\. TUNA.—It being the intention of the Government to grant a Lease of 30 Acres of Ground for the erection of an ACCOMMODATION HOUSE, at Popotuna, on the great South Road, Tenders will be received at the Oflice of His Honor tbe Superintendent, Dunedin, on or 'before FRIDAY, the 9th day of May, 1862, from parties willing to erect said House. A good Stable for at least 8 Horses must also be erected. A Plan of the whole to accompany the Tender. Tender to state how much Ground Kent will be paid. The nsjial License Fee must be paid for the License to sell Spirits. The Lease will be for one year, but will be renewed from year to year, if the House is conducted to the satisfaction of the Government, as respects charges and otherwise. If the Lease is not renewed, however, the property erected with the sanction of the Government will be taken at a valuation. The building must be erected within two nionthsafter the acceptance of the tender, and fifty pounds must be lodged with the tender as a guarantee for the fulfilment of the encasement T)UBLTC BUILDING DEPARTMENT—Notice X is hereby given, that all articles supplied for this department must be delivered in virtue of a signed order from the department, and that when accounts are rendered for such, these requisition? must be nUneheil to them. 7th March, 1862.
