CROWN LANDS.—NOTICE.—The period for the receipt of applications for the purchase of rural land in Blocks iv. and v. Hillenb District, is hereby altered from the 31st instant to 1 uexday, the 15th day of April next, on which day applications will be received at the Land Office, Dunedin, and at the Commissioners Camp, Tnapelia. The decision, on which applications will ba given on Wednesday, the Ith day of May next, when.the Sections will be put up to Sale by Auction, at the Camp, Tunpeka. . Forms of applications may be obtained gratis on application at the Commissioner's Camp at Waipon, Waitahuna, and Tuapeka, where ninps of the Bhock may be seen, and copies of the maps may be purchased of Mr. Livingston, Stafford-street. Dunedin, and Mr. J. Mackay, Gabriel's Gully and Waipon. In consequence of the misapprehension of the nature of the Otago Land Regulations by persons lately arrived in the province, the public are informed that, in order to bid at the Auction of the Sections in the above-mentioned Blocks, they must make application oil the 15th clay of April next. The making an application involves no responsibility, and the applicant is not obliged to take up any of the land applied for, unless lie becomes the purchaser at the bale; and it is usual to apply for the whole Block, as the applicant can only bid for those sections for which he has applied. Blocks iv. and v., Hillen» District, are situate on the north bank of the Clutha River, are within 12 miles of the Gold-field, and on the high road to the diggings from the South. The Cluthit River is navigable for Steamers drawing 4 feet water, to a point above the land now open for application. W. H. CUTTEN, Chief Commissioner.

The respective tenders must contain the address which will find the tenderer by post, and must be written on foolscap paper, in a plain, legible hand, and lodged in the Superintendend s Office, Dunedin, on or before the days mentioned ■below. All plans, &c, in connection with Roads and Bridges, will be seen at the Road Office, and those relating to Public Buildings, at the office of Public Buildings, Dunedin ; and if they are to be seen at any other place, it will be notified m the advertisement. CONTRACTORS withdrawing a tender after the the last day of receiving the same will not ba allowed to tenner for any Government work, during the six months' immediately following such withBy* order, JonK Logan. OATS.-Notice.-Sealed Tenders will be received at the Superintendent's Office, up to the 18th inst., for the supply of 200 bushels of Oats (bags included) of either Tasmanian or Provincial growth, to be delivered according to sample, either at Dunedin. East Taieri, or Tokomairiro Police Stations, m quantities as required.

ACCOMMODATION HOUSE FOR POPOTUNA.—It being the intention ot the Government to grant a Lease of 30 Acres of Ground for IheeSm3an ACCOMMODATION HOUSE, at Popotuna, on the great South Road, Tenders will be received at the Office of His Honor tbe S«P«™te^dent, Dunedin, on or before FRIDAY, the 9th day ofMay, 1862, from parties willing to erect said House. A (rood Stable for at least 8 Horses must also be erected. A Plan of the whole to accompany the to state how much Ground Kent will be PaThe'"usual License Fee must be paid for the License to sell Spirits. The Lease will be for one year, CwUl be renewed from year to year if the tfouse is conducted to the satisfaction of the Government, as respects charges and otherwise. If the Lease , s not renewed however, the property erected with the sanction ofthe Government will be taken at a valuation. The building must be erected within two monthsafter fhe acceptance of the tender, and fifty pounds must to l 3 with the tender as a guarantee for the fulfilmpnt, of the engitgement.
