In consequence of the misapprehension of the nature of the Olago Land regulations by persons lately arrived in the province, the public are informed that, in order to bid.at the* Auction of the Sections in the above-mentioned Blocks, they must make application on the lbth day of April next: The making an application involves no responsibility, and the applicant is not obliged to take up any of the land applied for, unless he becomes the. purchaser at the Sale ; and it is usual to apply the whole Block, as the applicant can only bid for those sections for which he has applied. Blocks iv. and v., Hillend District, are situate on the north bank of the Clutha ltiver, are -within 12 miles of the Gold-field, and on the high road to the diggings from the South.
