lAuctionß, '-"' ~~~. ~MONDA~y7aPIIIL 7th. Splendid opportunity for investing in CHOICE TOWNSHIP ALLOTMENTS. ■LEAVING THE COLONY. UNRESERVED SALE OF 30 LOTS. (Early Choices.) TOWN OF CLARENDON (WAIHOLA). MESSRS. 11. E. NATHAN & CO, have much pleasure in announcing that t'acy have been favored with instructions to sell by unreserved auction in the Otago Sale Rooms, Maclaggan-street, at 12 o'clock on the above date, ■■ THIRTY-SIX ALLOTMENTS, Town of Clarendon, Wnihola. This township is situated on the Main Government Road, nt the head of the Waihola Lake, and about halfway to the diggings. It is no exaggeration to say that Clarendon is now an established lact, and is second only to Dunedin in the whole of the Province. Its eligible situation and its natural advantages are much greater than any other township at present surveyed in Otago, and the auctioneers would point out to those who are unacquainted with its position, that the town is on a gentle slope from the coach road to the Lake, stands high and dry, and is within an easy distance of the Woolshed, 'Waitahuna, and Wetherston's diggings. It has a jetty, -it which has been lauded many thousand tons of goods, arid it is more than probable that it will become the great central depot of this portion of Otaga, as it can be reached by, water from Dunedin harbour in ten hours. It is also worthy of notice that there is a coalfield in the district, which will be of much advantage to the township, and considerably enhance the value of pro- ■ perty in the district. ■' ! Tiie whole of the sections arc sold, and since the , first sale many have been re-sold at four times the j original purchase. The sections hero advertised are "the property of a gentleman who is leaving the colony. They were chosen by him at the first sale, and are undoubtedly pick of the survey. no reserve! no reserve !! These well-situated Freelrulds can be '.recommended' to all desirous of securing homes. The property is fine and dry, and the situa-? tion is decidedly the best on the Plains, being the junction to all the diggings, and in the • most rising part of the country. For the ■ mechanic, digger, or laborer, it is specially adapted, possessing the advantage of being close to a number of good genuine stores, butchers, flour mills, bakers, Ace, and where buildings ai-e 1 daily being erected.
