To the Castlemaine Twenty-two alone belongs the Honor of having achieved ■ a victory over the redoubtable Eleven of All-England. We take following from the Mount Alexander Mail: — Subjoined will be found .111 outline of the three days' play which Twenty-two of our district indulged in with the All-England Eleven, representatives of cricketers of Old England. Mr. Jlakinson's body, forinsiance, presents a curious stucco-like appearance —the " white, red, and blue" marks from Ins shoulders to his shins presenting irrefragable evidenceof the punishment he had received. Mr.'.DrinkWater, also met with a severe blow in tho early part of the second innings. Indeed, there is hardly one of the Twenty-two who did not bring from the field some bodily indications of the vigor with which they had been assailed by their opponents.
