The above land is situated on the main road between Dunediu and- Portobello, and extends from opposite the School-house to the Bay, commanding a splendid view of Dunedin and the neighborhood. It is one mile and a-half by water from the Jetty, and two miles and a-half by the road from the Post-office. The above land is most eligible for the residence of families, being elevated, undulating, and remarkably healthy. For general stores (inunh wanted) few situations are more promising, the distance of the Tomahawk District from Dunedin being inconveniently great for the numerous settlers. Firewood, and stone for building purposes, plentiful and near at hand. The scenery in the neighborhood is most beautiful, and the ocean beach within an easy walk.
