The situation of the above allotment is very .desirable, being in the centre of a rapidly increasing locality towards the north end of George-street, and but a very short distance from the Jetty at Pelichet Bay, which is now being extended to admit of large ships being discharged alongside ; and will in a very short period, cause a great increase ol traflic in the .neighbourhood. „ The extent of the two allotments, viz., —36 feet by a depth of 80—admit of having erected upon them large and commodious premises suitable for ii first-class hotel, store, or private dwellings, being in the centre of a highly respectable neighbourhood of gentlemen's residences. The ground landlord has instructed the auctioneers to give every facility to intending purchasers, by allowing half value for the buildings at the termination of lease, and extremely, liberal terms of payment, viz., —-}■ cash, and the residue at 6, 9, and 12 months. From the very favorable position of the above Hotel for doing a large and lucrative business, it presents an opportunity rarely found, possessing so many I advantages ; its close proximity to the city, in the Valley of the Kaikorai, with a clear running stream in front of the property, rendering it a favorite resort of the inhabitants for pleasure or recreation, while the whole traffic to the southern inland parts of the Coloiry passes in front of the Hotel, securing _to it a trade seldom possessed by any similar establishment in the Province out of the City of Duuedin. R CAMPBELL & CO. have received positive in- , structions from Mr. Robert Murray to submit to public competition his valuable Freehold Suburban Estate, section 14 of block No. 2, situate contiguous to the Town Belt in the North East boundary of the City, and known as the Maori Hill Estate. The property has been sub-divided into about 32 quarter acre lots, plans of which, showing the position and number of each lot, are now being prepared for the convenience of intending purchasers. The whole will be disposed of without the slightest reserve. To persons desirous of possessing freehold sites upon which to erect private residences, the present opportunity offers advantages rarely to be met with ; the healthy position, beautiful scenery, and convenient distance from the city, combine the advantages of a town residence with the quietude and retirement of the country. The situation of this estate can only be appreciated by a personal visit: it commands a view of the Ocean Beach, and its distance from the sea shelters it from the wintry blasts of the south. To persons of delicate constitution it offers the many advantages possessed by the inhabitants of warmer climes. The scenery is magnificent, whether in the direction of the Half "Way Bush, the pine clad hills towards Mount Cargill, or the charming view of" the North East Valley, so much resembling an English landscape, the Water of Leith in the foreground, and the quiet woodland scenery of Pelichet Bay; embracing at the same time a commanding view of the harbor and shipping, bounded by the peninsula in the distance. The road to the Half Way Bush and the North East Valley passes through the land, also a direct road to George-street and Great King-street, where public conveyances are plying to and from the city. The limits of an advertisement preclude the Auctioneer from enlarging further upon this valuable property, and they respectfully suggest to intending purchasers a visit to the locality, and judge for themselves of the correctness of what they have been faintly endeavoring to describe. R. CAMPBELL & CO., Auctioneer and Estate Agents, MaclSlgaii-street. WEDNESDAY, 2nd APRIL. Sale of Valuable Leasehold Allotments in Great King Street, opposite Knox's Church. TV CAMPBELL & CO. have received instructions JlYi. from the proprietor, Mr. D. White, to sell by auction at their Rooms, M'Laggan-street, on the above date, The Lease or 14 Years of Sections Nob. 16 and 17, Block 26, subdivided into four allotments, with ft frontage to Great King-street, of 30 feet by a depth of 165 feet, with a right of way of 12 feet wide extending to rear of allotments. The position of the above valuable Leasehold Property from its close proximity to Stewart Street, and Pelichet Bay Jetties, now nearly completed, offers great facilities for the erection of Stores, Warehouses, Timber Yards, or a first-class Hotel (there being none in the vicinity.) It is also in the centre of the traffic to the north and eastern outlets from the City— the North-east Valley, Port Chalmers, Blueskin, and the northern parts of the Province of Otago. Conveyances pass to and fro at all hours of the day. From the increasing value of Property in this locality, so close to the centre of business, the present opportunity offers peculiar advantages to parties desirous of obtaining a secure investment and safe return for their capital. The terms are very liberal, and the annual ground . rentnominal. Plans of the allotments are now being prepared, and can be had of the Auctioneers. - R. CAMPBELL & CO., Auctioneers and Estate Agents, .'-■■■" ; Maclaggan-street-:
