INTERESTING TO DELINGQUENT SUBSCRIBERS.-The

publisher of the Catskill (N.Y.) Democrat sued a man in Schohario County not long ago, for 100 dollars for subscription to that paper. It seems that tins man subscribed for the JDemocrat when it was ■first started, but refused to pay anything, always re-' plying to the publisher when .asked to pay, " stop the paper." The paper was sent to him for over twenty years, when the publisher sued the subscriber for the amount of subscription with interest. The judge charged the jury to give a verdict for plaintiff, which tliey did with interest and costs, in all amounting to over 100 dollars. " The judge said that the fact of taking a paper and*not paying for it, or telling the publisher to stop it without paying up all arrears due to the time of stopping it, was" evidence of intended fraud." JSTo man has a right to stop a paper until he has paid for it, and no publisher of a paper is obliged to stop a paper to a subscriber until that subscriber pays up to the time he wishes it stopped. If ho takes it out of the Post-offico after that time he is liable for the subscription. The K"ew York Observer has also recovered nearly 200 dollars against a delinquent subscriber under very nearly the same circumstances as | that related above. ' These examples should be a sufficient warning to persons who will continue to !take a paper without paying for the same.
