To the Editor of the Or ago Dati-y Times. Sir,—According to present, appearances the most satisfactory' arrangement for facilitatingl the goods traffic from the Jetty is to have a string of'drays blocking up Jetty street from end to end. When I look at'the manner some of the drays aro loaded it certainly becomes a matter of surprise that more accidents do not take place in that locality, the gradient being very steep, and from the foregoing cause the roadway considerably narrowed, sometimes being barely sufficient to allow two drays to puss each other. Perhaps the Town Board at their next meetingl may take this matter into their eousideration, and by'making: a bye-law to authorise a more convenient stand for drays than the one now in use, considerably diminish the chance of accidents taking place for the future. I am, yours obediently, Coitio, Junr. Dunedin,?3rd March, 1862.
