Thomas Goodisou was charged with stealing 16 sheep. - Detective Johnston stated, that the sheep had been found in possession of the prisoner, but that ::is lie was not in possession of the information necessary to enable him to proceed with the case, he prayed for a remand. Remanded accordingly till Tuesday next. The prisoner asked his worship to take bail for 11is appearance, but this was opposed by Sir. subInspector Morton, who stated, that, there was a warrant against the prisoner for cattle stealing in Victoria. -Bail refused. STicicrNO-ui' at wbxhehstoxe's. About one o'clock on the morning of the 20th, two miners of the nnme of Reid and Sullivan were stuck up and robbed. Reid of 75 sovereigns, and Sullivan of 0 sovereigns. They had been on the " spree," and were returning home in a state of intoxication, when they were knocked down and the robbbeiy committed". Owing to their being too drunk "to recognise the perpetrators of the offence, two men whom the police heliaveto be the offenders, had to be discharged for want ol identification.
