IT being the intention of the Government to grant a License for an Accommodation House on the Upper Taieri Ferry Reserve, Tenders will bereeeived at tho Supcrir.tond'ont's Office, Duncdin, on or before FRIDAY, the 28th day of February current.-from parties willing to erect such an House, which House must include, independently of accommodation ibi ordinary travellers, separata bed-rooms for at least ten persons, besides a sitting-room for travel lew. A good stable for at least 12 horses (must also fee erected. A plan of the whole to accompany the tender. Tender to stale how much ground rent will be p;;id._ The usual license ice must be paid for the license to .sell spirits. The lease will ba for one year, but will be renawed from year tn year if the bouse is conducted to the satisfaction of the Government, as respects charges and otherwise. If tlie lease is not renewed, however, the property erected with the sanction ofthe Government will be taken at a valuation. The tenant will have nothing to do with the working ofthe ferry. The building must be erected within two month? after the acceptance of the tender, and £50 must be lodged with the tender as a guarantee for tho fulfilment of the engagement. Provision must be made independently of accommodation forordi nary travellers, for separate Bedrooms for at least 10 persons : also a separate Sitting Room. A good stable for at least 12 horses must also be erected. Plans of the whole' to be lodged with the tender. The lease will be for one year, but will be renewed inthe event ofthe character of the House, and tho Scale of Charges being satisfactory to the Government; but if the Lc-.if-:e is nut renewed, A'aluation will be given for all Buildings erected under sanction of thy Government. The buildings unst be erected within two months from the date of acceptance of tender, and a deposit of £50 will require to be ramie as a guaranteee for the faithful fulfilment of the engagement.
