FELLOW COLON ISTS,—It is with great painaud reluctance of feeling that I hereby remind you of the fact that during the past (7) seven years I devoted my time, and whatever talents (Jod lias given me, in your behalf. I have now despaired of getting any 'office of honor, or usefulness in Olago. The course pursued by me lias been conscientious, but it has rendered me obnoxious to the powers that ba. I must tell you plainly that lam veto literally penniless. If, therefore, you appreciate my services, and wish me well, you have it in your power to assist me materially under present adverse circumstances. If I got my head fairly above water, perhaps there is, under the good providence of God, a career of honor and usefulness still before me. I rely on your hind SUPP°rt' 1. Q. 9. GRANT.
