ESTABLISHMENT OF WARDEN'S COUKT
By an ordir in Council, published in the New Zeaiund Gazette, the Governor has delegated to the Superintendent of Otago, the power under the fifteenth section of the Goldiields act, 1858, to constitute Wardens' Courts. After the usual preamble, the order in Council proceed;;—
Now lli.s Excellency the tlovernor .loth by this Instrument uiulei' his hand and under the Public Seal of the (Jj'uny, an.l with the advice an:l cjnseut of his Executive Council, delegate to John Larkins Cheese K-ichardson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, so long as lie shall continue Superintendent of such Provi.iee, but no longer, the powers contained in the .said fifteenth section of the said recited Act, .subject to the ltcj*u!aiion.s first herduiniur written.

Jicyidatiims Firstly before referred to. All acts and appointments done and made by the said Supcrhiteuikut under tlie fbrejjf.iiug delegation shall he provisional until the same shall have been confirmed and allowed by the Governor, and the Ciuvernur sfinl! 'nave power to disallow the same. The Superintendent shall report without delay to the Governor all such acts and appointments. Tim Superintendent shall lay before tli; Provincial Council of the said Province every such act, and appointment at the Session of the said Couneii next following. Tin; Provincial Council of the said Province may thriiit-rli their Speaker transmit to the C'ioveniov any Resolution respecting any such act or appointment. The Practice, Procedure, and Fees of the said Wardens' Courts and in cases of appeal from sucli Courts shall be as nearly as may he the same as the Practice, Procedure, and Fees in the Resident Magistrate's Courts, in the Colony of iVew Zetland, and in c.ise; of appeals from such Courts.
