Tlio Hampton liiitl been caught in a urtiauful storm, and Bpning a leak, and after the crew had been working 16 hours at the pump, the vessel was struck by a heavy sea and capsized, on the 29th of August. The crev/, 14 in number, suoceodeil in getting cv the broadside, where they remained for hali'-an-iionr, when tl.o deck-load and everything nioveabie was waselid away. The maintop was then cut away, and the ship righted - a good deal, and the crew were enabled to take to the main rigging and top, where they remained without provisions or water for two days, until they were rescued by the crew of the Alice Wilson, who harl to pull seven miles before they coull do so. The crew of the Ham])ton speak with groat gratitude of the kindness of Mr. Bolt, the master of the Alice Wilson, ami his ship's company. — Times, October 9.
