The Board shall keep true and detailed minute* of all applications n ade to the Hoard, and all decisions thereon, and of al! sums of money paid to the. And such minutes shall be open to the inspection of all persons desiring to inspect {he same, at all reasonable hour.--, on payment of the sum of two shilling and sixpence for every such inspection. m.—sijkvkvs. '10. All surveys shall be conducted in Mich manner as the Board by any regulations to be made in that behalf shall direct. " IV. —TUB r.ASn KKVKNI.'K. 17. All payments to lie made in respect of laud shall be made to the Treasurer of the Board during the sitting1 thereof, and the Treasurer shall thereupon give receipt.; for the same. 18.—By the 02nd clause of the Constitution Act the Governor is authorised and n-quired to pay ■ nt of the revenue arising from the disposal of the Wast.l Lands of the Crown all the costs, charges, and expenses incident to the collection, management, and. receipt thereof; and also to pay out. of the said revenues such sums as shall become payable under c<Ttai'.s other provisions therein.contained. The Treasurer of the Waste Lands Board shall, therefore, pay out of al! the funds coming into his bauds under these reg-ula-tions all such sums for the above-named purpose.-., ir, such manner and to such persons as flic Governor shall direct. v.—rcnr.ic UEtfjiKVKS. 19. Reserves for the uses of the Provincial Government and for other public pin-poses may, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, be made by the Superintendent; and shall not lie alienated from the specific purposes to which they shall have been severally dedicated, except under the provisions of ail Act, of the Genera1 Assembly, entitnled the " Public Reserves Ac!, lS- ri4 :" and a'fnji mid complete description of every such reserve and of I lie purposes to which it shall have been dedicated shall, as soon as possible, after it shall have been made, be. published in the Government Gazette of the Province, and set forth on tin; authenticated maps in the Land Office. Provided I liar the Superintendent limy, if the Provincial Council be not then sit ting, temporarily reserve land for such purposes until the next se.-sion of such Council.
20. Reserves for public highways, bridle-paths, ami foot-paths, shall be made by the Superintendent, ami filial! be «et forth on the authenticated maps in the Land Office. 21. The Siiperiiitenden't may temporarily reserve any land for the preservation or sale of the timber thereon; but such land may at any lime ceas.; !o hso reserved upon a resolution of the Provincial Council.
22. The Superintendent nmy, upon the recommendation of tlie Provincial Council, hy proclamation in the Govci'muciu Gtizcitt; reserve from tin- oneration of these regulations any tract of country in which the precious metals may be found to. exist: ami the land within such tract of country shall hi; disposed &.' according- to reyiiiaiions hereafior io lio issued nm, published in that behalf; in the same niaunei and under the same authority as these pivseni regulations. VI. —TOWN I,AN»3. 23. The sites of towns shall he determined by the Superintendent, upon the n commendation (if the Provincial Council, and shall lie notified hv proclamation in the Government, jGnzcltc. of the Province. 24. Town Lands shall be sold hy public auction, in sections, the size and upset price of which shall be (determined liy the Superintendent mid tln> Pmvinciu! Council; and having been so determined, tor each town severally, shali not again be altered. 20. The time and place of every auction sale shaU be fixed by the •Superintendent, and shall be notified jn the.
