THE Reserve on Crown Lands tn Tuakitoto and Tokomairiro Districts having been withdrawn by order of his Honor the Superintendent, Notice is Hereby Given, that the said land will be open for application on and after the 30th December next. All Applicants for any of the said lands, —applications having been refused or ordered to stand over, in consequence of such reserve,—must attend at the Land Office, on the said 30th day of December, prepared to take up their applications, or such applications will be treated as abandoned. At the Land Office, Dunedin, on the 15th day of January, 1862, at 12 o'clock noon. ~ NOTICE. — SALE OF CROWN LAND. /CONSIDERABLE inconvenience having V_7 arisen in consequence of persons making application for the purchase of Land, or for the grant of Licenses, by letter addressed to the Chief Commissioner or Waste Land Board, Notice is Heiieby Given, that in future all persons having business at the Waste Land Office, must transact the same by attending personally or by a duly authorised agent. After one month from the expiry of the date of this notice, every application made in contravention of the above rule will be treated as null and void, in terms of resolution of the Waste Land Board, passed at the sitting of the 16th December instant. A DAILY Mail from Dunedin and also from the Gold Fields, containing LETTERS ONLY. 2nd. The same service, containing LETTERS and NEWSPAPERS. 3rd. A Mail, THREE TIMES EACH WEEK, from Dunedin, and also from the Gold Fields, containing LETTERS ONLY. 4th. The same service, containing LETTERS and NEWSPAPERS. ALSO, On or before the 10th day of JANUARY, 1862, from parties willing to carry MAILS between Dunedin and the School-houses in North and West Taieri, Weekly, from 15th FEBRUARY to 30th JUNE, 1882, or for any longer period, as above stated. Time of Arrival at and Departure from each. Station, to be fixed from time to time by the Postmaster. The Tenders to be made at peii annum, and Security will be required for the due fulfilment of the Contracts. The Government will not be bound to accept the Lowest nor any of the Tenders. ARCH. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on and after MONDAY, 30th inst., the OVERLAND MAIL for INVEROARGILL will leave this Office EVERY MONDAY, at 10 a.m., instead of 1 P.M., as formerly. Registered Letters and Newspapers for any of the Southern districts, or for the Gold Fields, must be Posted before the Closing of the Office on Saturday, and ordinary STAMPED and UN-PAID Letters may be put in the Letter Box until 9 a.m. of MONDAY.
