'j Fin day, 6th "December. -j Mr. Walker brought up the reply to the ■ address which merely reciprocated the views :'therein expressed. The Provincial Solicitor (.seconded the motion. The House then adijourned for an hour, to give the Opposition 'time to consider the reply, and on the House Ire assembling Mi". M Olashan moved an amendment to the reply, which w:u in effect a vote of Want of Confidence in the Govern-, ' ment. The debate was still in.progress when we went to press, but the following gentlemen had taken part in it, viz., in favor of the "Government reply: Mr. Walker, the Provincial Solicitor, and Mr. Cut ten. In favor of the amendment: Messrs. M'Glashan, Gillie?, Reynolds, and Pateraon. Mr. Dick was speaking on the same side when we went to press, and there was every prospect of the debate lasting till a late hoar. We are un able to hrizard a guess at its result. After four-and-a-half hours 1 debate, Mr. M kG!ashan'3 amendment on the reply was carried by a majority of three. The Executive Government will therefore have to resign.
