RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before J. IL Harris, Esq., R.M.) Wednesday, 27th November.
David Gibb, and Archibald Blue were each fined 20s: or 48 hours imprisonment for being drunk. Geo. Cuthbert was brought up on remand on a warrant from Victoria, charged with deserting his wife and children ; the case was again remanded, his Worship stating that as long as the prisoner behaved himself, and continued in steady employment, he would remand him from time to time, until he was able to remit some money to his wife. John Johnstone (charged with stealing a crowbar), was brought up on remand but was dismissed,
