The Superintendent requests attention to these points, as the official written reply will alone be regarded as the decision of Government. < The Superintendent will be happy, at all times, to receive any information,, either by letter, marked " Private," or by an interview, which may have in view the furtherance of the public interests; but such communications will be regarded as "confidential" or "discretionary" as the circumstances of each case may demand, and should be so designated.
