'I he Itoard of Health recently enipiired. at the instance of the Minlsti r. into the berthing ot the steamer Mahaua at Wellington after there had b-eit an outbreak of scarlet fever among the immigrant.-:. The Hoard concludes that the Health Department took ail rea-onahle precautions:.
