WAIAREKA YARDS WEEKLY SALE There was a fair yarding of sheep at to-day's weekly sale at Waiareka yards. Fats were only very moderately represented and lambs brought from 25s 6d to 26s 6d, and ewes from 25s 6d to 27s 6d. In the store _ pens the principal feature was a consignment of halfbred wethers from Earnscleagh, and of these 360 four, six, and eight-tooth brought 26s 7d, but 100 two-tooths were passed in tit 23s 9d, and 210 merino wethers failed to reach the vendor's ideas and were also passed at 18s 9d. A Email lot of breeding ewes realised 27s 6d. The only occupants of the cattle pens were a "quintette of fat animals, and of these two bqllocks realised £lB 12s 6d. two lighter bullocks £l3 10s, and a heifer £9. A small number of dairy cows were offered, and cows just at profit brought from £l2 to £l4, _ and inferior cows to calve in the spring from £9 to £ll. There was a very small yarding of pigs, composed entirely of weaners. Best kinds brought from 25s to 27s 6d, with up to 35s for extra good quality, while medium sorts were knocked down at from 13s to 20s.
