CHARITABLE AID BQARD.

ANNUAL. MEETING

The annual meeting of the Waitaki C'harit-ablo Aid Board was this morning. The- Chairman, Mr A. Eraser, presided, and there were also present: Messrs A. Murdoch, J. H. Miliigau, G. Finch, H. A. Dovey, and W. Kini.'i--IUOII i. ; The Chairman accorded them Ins hearty thanks for the kindness and courtesy extended to him by members during his- term of office. For threeterms lie had held the office, and lie trusted that the Board would on this occasion appoint, someone else. Mr ,11- A. Dovey said tliat they'lwd the right man in tin* right place. Messrs Murdoch. Finch, Milligan, and Kiniitmont having strongly supported this opinion, Mr Eraser was re-elected chairman, and thanked them for the honor. Mr J. G. Finch was re-elected: treasurer.

It was decided that the Chairman represent the Board at the forthcoming conference t« be held ill WellinghlHi 111 June.

The Matron reported that the month, commenced with 21 inmates, three were admitted, and two discharged. The. health of the inmates was fair.

The Yisitiug-Comniittec reported that it had visited the Home, and found everything in order. The District Health Officer reported that for March there were 109 influenza' cases, pneumonia 3, scarlet fever. 7, diphtheria 1. The number of cases of influenza in Oamaru was S3. There were two deaths, one from influenza and one from pneumonia., both in Oamaru.
