FARMERS' REPRESENTATIVE AT HOME.

To the Editor. Sir, —I am giad to hear from friends that the proposal tp endeavor to secure the services of Sir Thomas ALa-> kenzie as Commissioner in London fo'r the. primary producers -of the Dominion is approved of by many fanners whom' i am not privileged to lie acquainted with., and as J am desirous cf securing-, the help of all who are 111-i-erested, j. ask you to he good enough 10 allow me, through the medium uh your -'paper to publish a copy of the resolution i intend to move at the earliest opportunity : "That the parent branch of the Union' bo respectfully requested to use utmost endeavor by cabin to ■ obtain the services of Sir Thomas Mackenzie as Commissioner in London lor the primary producers of the Dominion 011 his retirement, from the position of High Commissioner. That ho be permitted to define his own duties, collect his own assistance, and name his own remuneration, to be paid in. the first instance out of half profits on wool until a scheme of payment out of. proceeds of exports' 1 can be promulgated. Sir Thomas will, therefore, be a free, agent to attend to'the interests of his employers." •Members of this branch will thus' have the opportunity of considering the resolution, and as time is of moment and the necessity for securing; the services of Sir Thomas, or. some equally , capable person, to represent them *in London very urgent, 'I trust that all'will'try to be present-to support it. Anyone interested who is not a member and is desirous of assisting me to obtain a majority vote, can do so by paying his subscription, and any opposed to the resolution is equally welcome to join.—l am, etc..
