THE TRIPPERS.

Members attended the London Missionary Society's churches and the Samoans were gratified that many were present at the earlv native service on Tuesday. The party motored" to the most western end of the Island to a plantation of 4000 acres of cocoanuts worked mostly by Solomon Islanders, which also carries 4000 cattle for Island consumption. A party in charge of the Hon. W. Carncross went by launch twelve miles to Saluafata to pay a. courtesy visit to the Samoans who were unable to reach Apia. Mr Carncross at a native feast conveyed the greetings of the Government and was greatly applauded. The officers of the Administration with their wives were entertained i»t dinner on the Mokoia. The members of the were greatly impressed by the fine wireless station which is more modern than that at Awanni. The Mokoia leaves for Savaii on Wednesday ; night, returning to Apia en s thence to Tonga. The weather is frnmid. » V.
