Mr Aifstcy made a tour of the transmontane portion of his electorate during the past few days. He spoke at Oturehua at 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, and a well-attended and cordial meeting at Naseby at night, where the Mayor presided. At Ranfurly he ifleld a successful meeting, when Ins hearers were enthusiastic. Mr Anstey was quite satisfied with the reception ac•corded him on his first visit to the Maniototo end of his electorate.
