AUCKLAND MARKETS. By Telegraph. (Special to the Oamaru -Mail.) AUCKLAND, July 16. The weather is wet. but unseasonably mild. The distributing merchants report a fair business being done, though !t is generally restricted owing to t!ie lack of railway facilities. Oat^—The inarket is firm, with good stocks, and a fair local inquiry. A and B Carton-; are quoted at 4s Gd and 4s 4Jd, f.o.b. s.i.. respectively for prompt shipment. The forward quotations for B Cartons is 4s 3id. f.0.b., s.i., for spread delivery from August to 'December but little business is passing. Stock* of Algerians are ample for tile pr.scnt tlc-mand. There is a fair n>quirv for good bright lines fciiitahle for dressing at 4s Gd. and reclcaned and . lipped at 6s 3d, both f.0.b., s.i. Table Potatoes —The market is firm. I "M-ai supplies have been augmented by the arrival of the Koromiko -with a shipment. A strong inquiry exists for forward shipments in August £9 10 s f.0.b.. e.i. September quotations arc difficult to obtain. S ed Potatoes —The market is steady, and .-treks are liuht. Breeze's Prolific r.tul British Queen are quoted at £<" li»>. f.o.b. s.i., and main crop varieties at lower values. Onions —Stocks are fair, but the quality is only moderate, and repacking is general. " Present prices are from £.1(7 K>s to £ll, f.0.b.. fi.i Chaff—Tin- market is very firm, and almost dependent on Southern supplies, local being scarce owing to railway restrictions. Good local onions are quoted | at £ll ex vail, prime Blenheim at £8 1f.0.b.. s.i., Picton, and good bright Southern at £S - r >s t.0.b.. si.
