Sydney will be robbed of tlie services of two officers and seven men of the Firo Brigade's Headquarters Staff, through the fire aboard the steamer The steamer was quarantined owing to influenza, and the firemen boarded her, thereby entailing seven days' detention. It is understood the fire is under control. The damage is unknown. There -were many references and thankofferinffij in the churches at Turkey's surrender, coupled with early anticipations of -wider developments' to- ! wards peace.
