LAND BOARD.
The following matters concerning this district were dealt with at the meeting of the Land! Board) yesterday:— . The transfer of r.l. 6a, Kurow Settlement, 14a Or 17p, from Mr Robert Sutherland-to Mr Francis Samuel TempletoQ, was approved. The following applications* -were approved: Section 15, block 1., Banmore, 58a 2r 31p (r.1.), Mr Robert Hair; section 16, block 1., 84a lr 9p (r.1.), Mr Charles Collins. Mr W. H. Murcott applied! for a 21 years' lease of education reserve, section) 15, block XXXV., town.' of Hampden, on the terms on which the lease was offered! at auction on April 25. Granted!.
The ranger submitted; a, report upon closed' road, section 1104b, block V., Moeraki district, containing 3r 7p.— .Year to year license granted to Mr Hugh R-09S/.
Margaret -Nash, wiho was granted section 7a., Hild'artliorpe Settlement, on February 14, asked that she be allowed) to take section la instead: of section, 7a. —Approved. Messrs Cameron Bros, applied for a grazing license over an estimated area of 6500 acres of vacant-land bounded as follows: On the north by subdivision 322 d of Omarama Station, on. tho east by Otematata Station, on the south by subdivision 2-27. of Blackstono Hill Station, and on the .west by tnihn division 582 of Hawkdten .'Station.— Ranger to report. An application from the Waitnki Acclimatisation Society for an area out of the land, resumed from section la, Steward) Settlement, held by A. Macauley, ivas declined.
Mr Charles Collins applied for a grazing license, over sections 11 to 14, 'block 1., Beumore district, containing a total area of 46a 3r 17p.—Approved'. The Commissioner reported the position unsatisfactory in regard to part of section 1 of 27, block IX, Oamaru district, and allotment 29, Totara Settlement, held under o,r, .lease by Mr S. S. Cain.—Resolved to determine the lease. The Secretary of the Otago, Education Board applied for five acres of land out of allotment 24n, Elderslie Settlement.—Approved. Mr A. Perniskie, lessee of section 14a. Elderelio No. 2 Settlement., was granted 12 months time in which to effect required improvements. The Board appointed Ranger Atkinson as arbitrator to act in tho mattor of fixing the annual rent payable on new 'lease of Education reserve, section 22, block XXVII, town of Oamaru.
